Ok- Time for a decent update. So the trip down to see my nephew Crymzon was pretty crazy but totally worth it. Malli did a superb job and managed to entertain a whole crowd of people that came to see her. I couldn’t believe she had the energy for it (I’m sure the sleeping crash came right after we all left). Too bad I had to work the next day or I would have gone to Ollie’s B-day party. Happy birthday buddy!
So in other news I’ll be ending my job at the law firm at the end of this month. Unfortunately as Cody and I were looking for internships we figured that we would be moving so the office has been running interviews to replace me. Well the day that Cody found out that his internship will be here in town was the day that the office finally hired someone. It just makes me think that I’m suppose to find some other work that will work. It would be nice to actually use my Recreational Mgmt degree! So I’ll keep everyone updated about the job search.
And that leads us to the fact that Cody found an internship!!! Yeah! He had a few different companies that he was interviewing with. Mostly just insurance advising positions. Nothing he was too excited about. So he found out through the school that there is a Venture Capitalist group that was accepting interns. Of course once Cody heard about that he could never be happy with any other job. The only problem was that almost all of the business department were trying for the same job. So Cody and 60 other guys all interviewed and then we waited. Wed we were suppose to find out. Well Wed came and went and all the while my little Cody was getting more and more depressed since he didn’t get it. Mom called and I informed her that he didn’t get it and that the stupid company didn’t even contact him t say yes or no. In an effort to cheer Cody up I found a funny SNL skit on youtube and he thought it was funny enough to pass on to a friend. So he pulls up this old email account to send it and I pointed to one of the letters just as he was deleting them all and said "isn’t that the name of the interviewer from the Venture Capitalist group?" With heart pounding we opened it up and were overjoyed to see an offer of Junior Analyst for the summer. And he almost deleted it! Turns out they had sent it on Tue so all that worrying was unnecessary! Apparently Cody have given them an email address that he doesn’t use as much. So there’s my story for the day. I’m so proud of Cody for working so hard at his career. What a wonderful husband I have!
