Well it has been quite the time these past couple of weeks. First off I'd like everyone to note the fabulous garden the Cody and I have painstakingly cultivated. Here you see our worlds tallest thistle which we now estimate to be about 8 1/2 feet tall. For those of you who don't know a thistle is a horrible weed that will take over any area it grows in. We just didn't have the heart to cut this one down, it worked so hard to get to this point. So we've now taken up watering it since rainfall has become scarce.
In other news last week was the big Brower Family Reunion in Pocatello and it sure was a blast. cody comes from a family that lives for yearly reunions and the most distant of relatives always show up at them which means that I spent half my time just learning peoples names. The theme was Midevil Times and was complete with bicycle jousting and archery. The main event however was the pig roast. Bought alive the previous day and slaughtered that night the whole family pitched in and took turns spining it above the fire for 16 hours straight. Well let me tell you that me and my pregnant self could not walk past the thing without feeling like I was going to throw up. It's funny because amidst the Browers I'm known as the animal lover so everyone was really worried about me being upset but as long as I wasn't near the thing I was fine. Needless to say I did not eat it when it was done (although that was more due to feeling pregnant sick more than anything). Next year the theme is Star Wars and Cody and I are going to take care of the first days events leading an adventure called "escape from the Star Destroyer". I'll be using all of my badger creek knowledge to do it. Cody and I are even going to build a huge wooden wall at the camp site for a portion of the course. I'm pumped!
And now for the best part of the blog!!! Baby update. On monday Cody and I went to the doctors office and were able to see an ultrasound of the baby. There really wasn't much to see visual wise but the neatest part was watching the tiny heart pumping like crazy. It was the first time I had really thought that another little heart beat was in me. Cody and I were both struck by the magic of it all and I can't wait till I meet with Dr. Devore to see a better picture of it. The baby is hard to see on this picture but the Doctor drew a line along the body of the baby. Apparently it's head is pointed down with it's little tail poking out at the top. Congrats! It's a tadpole!

What a funny family you've married into! I love that they are so excited and into family reunions. I'm so happy that you got your ultrasound and everything is looking good. I can't wait to see that babycakes. I know it seems like you'll be prego forever, but for the rest of us it is going to just fly by! Sorry... =)

Ok I'm gonna have to say that the pig thing would totally gross me out too, pregnant or not. Family reunions are so much fun, that's awesome they do one every year. Maybe by the time you guys are married 10 years, you'll finally learn everyone's name:) How are you feeling these days, getting any better? Call me!
This Doctor Devore sounds amazing, Becky was telling me about him too. I am so excited for this cute baby to get here! I hope you're feeling better.
Crazy family reunion man....that is serious business. I couldn't eat the pig either. I've been to Luaus and never can, it's just too much.
